Every tutor teaches to your child's own syllabus — UK, American or Nigerian — and, where applicable, the exact exam board or board equivalent they will face. Progress is connected to what your child is expected to know and do at school.

Our one-to-one Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and other Nigerian language coaching helps children learn at their own pace — whether they are starting from scratch, understand the language but cannot speak it confidently, or want to become more fluent.

Free assessment lesson

A 45-minute session helps us understand where your child actually is — not just what a school report says. You receive a short written summary afterwards.

We match the tutor

We choose a teacher based on subject strength, teaching experience and temperament. If the fit is not right after two lessons, we move your child to another tutor at no cost.

Weekly lessons and termly reviews

Lessons run on Zoom or Google Meet at a fixed weekly time. Every half term we send you a progress review and agree the next set of targets.

Teach with us

We are recruiting excellent teachers and language coaches to work with children online. For academic tutoring, we welcome experienced teachers who are confident teaching their subject and working with children. We do not require every tutor to be Nigerian — what matters is teaching ability, reliability, subject knowledge and the ability to connect with children. We are also recruiting native or highly proficient speakers to teach Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and other Nigerian languages.

Where are the tutors based?

Our teachers and language coaches may be based in different locations. We select them for teaching ability, experience, reliability and suitability for online teaching.

How do lessons run?

Lessons are delivered one-to-one online, normally through Zoom or Google Meet, at a fixed weekly time.

How are tutors vetted?

We assess teaching experience, subject knowledge, communication, reliability and suitability for working with children. Safeguarding requirements also form part of our process.

Can I sit in on lessons?

Parents can discuss their preferred level of involvement with the teaching team. We encourage communication while also giving children room to build confidence with their teacher.

What if my child doesn't get on with the tutor?

If the fit is not right after the initial lessons, we can match your child with another tutor at no additional tutor-matching cost.

What if I'm not sure which curriculum my child should follow?

Tell us about your child's current school, year or grade and your goals. We can help you understand the tutoring options available.

My child doesn't speak a word of Yoruba. Is it too late?

No. Language coaching can start from the beginning. We adapt lessons to the child's age, existing exposure and confidence.

Can my child study the Nigerian curriculum from the UK or US?

Yes. We can match your child with a tutor who understands the relevant Nigerian curriculum and exam pathway.

Do you teach subjects beyond the core?

Yes. Subject availability depends on the teacher and level. Ask when you enquire.

Are language lessons only for Nigerian children?

No. Anyone interested in learning a Nigerian language is welcome. Lessons can be adapted for heritage learners, beginners and more advanced speakers.
